The Tombstones – The Girl in the Picture
Well the first peformance of The Tombstones went on on Saturday 21st August 2010 at the Stratford Civic Hall, UK. The fantastic cast from Young Rogues and Vagabonds, a youth group, did a sterling job on the show. Now full progress is going ahead with working the album and getting the show prepared as a pack available to groups so it can be performed.
The Tombstones is a “Tween Pop” musical and is best described as a cross between Little Shop of Horrors, The Munsters, Grease and High School Musical. It is a fun show with a hint towards the dark side. Just imagine what would happen if a College was built on an Old Graveyard, suppose a family of Zombies live in the Krypt below the Student Union – and we have the jumping off point for The Tombstones.
As I mentioned the album is underway and just as a sample here is the first of the tracks to be recorded. It’s recorded by the original Sophie (Amy Cate Walsh) who is the main female character in the show and is called The Girl in the Picture.
